Good shoe, small issues
I had my previous Capezio Juliets for about 11 months. I dance anywhere from 5 - 10 hours a week and they have suited me just fine. The only issue I found was the inside sole came out on one of them. Also, if you point hard, the toe seemed to be the first thing to go, though that's pretty standard with any shoe. Overall, I enjoyed them and would get them again.
Wonderful Ballet Slipper!
I wear an 8 1/2 in most shoes and have very narrow feet. Capezio is usually the only dance shoe brand that will fit me. I ordered both an 8 1/2 and a 9 in these and sent the 9 back. The 8 1/2 did feel a little tight at first but the leather will stretch and you want it to mold to your foot. The leather is very soft and supple. I really like the way the arch piece is shaped--it is very flattering to the foot. The name of the color is deceiving--there is nothing "rose" about these shoes. These are NOT pink ballet slippers. If you're wanting a shoe to match pink tights, these are not the right color. However, they do match my Capezio tights in Light Suntan. Since I wear tan tights, these look better than traditional pink ballet shoes.
Perfect Fit, Perfectly Comfortable
This was my first ballet shoe, purchased for a barre class at the Y. (I'm 59, but never had an opportunity to learn dance.) I absolutely love it! Based on Capezio's fit guide, I ordered the same street shoe size that I actually measure on one of those measuring devices at shoe stores. Capezio's fit guide seems to work very well for their dance shoes; I own 2 pairs of their character shoes - perfect fit first try, both times. (Due to the variance in manufacturers, and even shoes within manufacturer, the size that I measure is frequently not the size that fits, and I seem to have very hard to fit feet.) These fit perfectly! Even the width is perfect, and I generally have a terrible time with shoes being too wide. They're soft & flexible; when I move they move with my feet, and I don't go sliding around inside them. They're as comfortable as being barefoot!

This dance shoe is constructed very well, but the size runs small. I purchased this shoe a half size larger than what my daughter wears and it was still too small. Consider buying a full size larger.
My 4 year old son recently started pre-ballet classes. There isn't anywhere around where I live to buy ballet slippers. I was apprehensive to order them after reading about the sizing issues many people have had. Here is my tip. Use the size chart Amazon offers for children's shoes. I measured his foot, it measured at size 11 1/2, so I ordered a 12 so he won't grow out of them so fast, and they fit just like I wanted them to, with a little bit of room to grow, but not too much. He wears a size 10 street shoe, so I did end up ordering up 2 sizes. I will also add that he has wide feet, but I ordered a D width (normal) and they are a bit tight, but I've been told they stretch to fit their width with wear. I'm very happy with the slippers, and so is my son, and he is picky about shoes that don't fit right. Remember, just use the size chart!
Very high quality, perfectly made. Do not forget to buy one size up from street shoes. My daughter loves them. Very comfortable and beautiful.

Excellent and generous cut for those with a medium width through both the base and toes. It has a beautiful arch shape, to boot! There is no strap to make the fit more snug, but you could easily stich an elastic strap, which I will do if these stretch in the future, as I would love to extend the life of this shoe! Am ordering a second pair! I am a street size 6.5 to 7, and an 8 was the "right" size to order.

I have just picked up ballet again, at the age of 20 and bought these slippers at a local dance store where I paid $20 for them. I wish I could have waited a little longer, I would have bought them online. I would suggest that if you have never worn ballet slippers before and you are not sure what your size is, to go to your local dance store and try some shoes out. This way you can figure out your size. I usually wear a 7.5 in streetshoes but need a 9.5 in these slippers!
Besides all this, these ballet slippers are an excellent deal. Great quality and excellent price.
I bought these for my 12 year old daughter who is trying ballet for the first time. Because she wears a 9.5 in women's sizes, and has a wide foot, I ordered a wide, 9.5 slipper. These slippers fit as your normal shoe size fits. I should of got the medium width, because their wide slippers are very wide, and now it's a little baggy on the outsides of her feet. Although it does have the elastic ties, it still doesn't help tighten it to fit snug. So if you have a wide foot, just order medium width, that should be wide enough. Other than that, this slipper is durable, and looks great. My daughter loved wearing them, and is enjoying her ballet classes.

According to that chart, style 205 (this shoe) is one of the ones that runs comparable to street size. Best bet is still to measure your child's foot anyway. Might I STRONGLY recommend going to a shoe store so they can do it with their magical slidey foot scale.
